This week the major examinations begin. Good luck to all our students, and to those involved in the various revision sessions we are holding. A full list is available to download here.
In assemblies this week we focus on our international work. Currently students from our school are involved with students from China, Iraq, Denmark, France, Germany, Finland, Poland and Spain. We believe we are on an important mission to help our students to know more about people and places a long way from Suffolk.
We are delighted to be working with the new Suffolk Philharmonic Orchestra. Find out more about their ground-breaking work here and do come along to the inaugural concert at St Edmundsbury Cathedral on Wednesday 23 May.
Finally, we have enjoyed meeting Year 8 pupils and their parents at our new intake interviews. These continue this week.

Title: Iraq 2012 - Kurdistan: Head-&-Shoulders (King Edward VI School Bury St Edmunds)
Description: April 2012: it's the big day of our sports festival in Erbil, Kurdistan, bringing together students and teachers from across Iraq to put on a sports festival. Suddenly lots of students arrive more than an hour early, leaving our advanced leaders - especially Ben Tippett - to find resourceful ways of entertaining the waiting youngsters. The project was made possible by the British Council and Youth Sport Trust, with funding from the European Union. King Edward VI School is proud to be the only UK school to have taken students to Iraq.
