Human Habitat on Mars

20 – 22nd August

Open to students currently in Year 10 & 11

Join us on this three-day virtual course, where students will be introduced to the following:

  • Aerospace: Design and build a prototype rocket

  • Biomedical: Build a pulse sensor using Arduino boards

  • Computer Science: Learn about the power of quantum computing

All materials needed for this course will be delivered to the student’s home address. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain valuable experience and get a glimpse of university life from the comfort of their own home.

Engineering Experience Warwick (residential)

5th – 7th August 2025

University of Warwick

Open to students currently aged 12-14

This three-day residential course introduces students to three different engineering topics they could study further in higher education. During the course, students will:

  • Design and build a hydrogen car

  • Learn how to program LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime robots using a block-based application

  • Design and build a bridge

Students will stay in student accommodation on site. All catering and accommodation will be provided. In the evenings, students will take part in a range of fun evening activities, including games and quizzes.

Girls into Engineering (residential)

12th – 14th July 2025

Loughborough University

Open to female students currently in Year 8/9

This three-day course invites female students to explore the exciting world of engineering and innovation at one of the UK’s leading universities in this field. During the course, students will:

  • Learn how to solder and build circuits

  • Discover the future of AI and healthcare

  • Take part in immersive workshops, including ultrasound scanning

  • Gain invaluable career advice from industry professionals

Students will stay in student accommodation on site. All catering and accommodation will be provided. In the evenings, students will take part in a range of fun, evening activities, including games and quizzes.

Engineering Experience Humberside (residential)  

19th – 21st August

University of Hull

Open to students currently aged 12-14

New to this year, students are invited to join us for three days of fun, interactive learning. Our team of STEM Engagement Specialists will be delivering a BRAND-NEW module, exclusive to this course…mechanical engineering!

  • Design and build a hydrogen car

  • Learn how to program LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime robots using a block-based application

  • Build and test a mechanical crane

Students will stay in student accommodation on site. All catering and accommodation will be provided. In the evenings, students will take part in a range of fun evening activities, including games and quizzes.
