New Esports course at West Suffolk College

West Suffolk College has an exciting new course called Managing and Developing Esports

If you enjoy competitive video gaming and want to learn some of the skills to enable you to progress to higher education or to a job in the world of Esports, then this course could be for you. Esports is a fast growing industry but there is a shortage of people with the necessary skills for it to grow.

The course is a 2 year BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (equivalent to 3 A Levels).

Topics covered include: live-stream broadcasting, shoutcasting, video editing, producing an Esports brand, Event Management and the use of Social media in business.

The course is endorsed by the British Esports Association and we will be looking to join their college league championship and compete with other colleges in the UK.

If you would like more information about the course or to apply please go to the college website www.wsc.ac.uk/esports

WSC also have a new Facebook page West Suffolk College Esports where there will be videos and information about the course and Esports events.

Due to our current situation with COVID-19, WSC will be holding some live stream sessions for Q&A about the course. Keep an eye on the event calendar on the Facebook page for when these will happen.

Included is a link to the British Esports Association website for any parents who are not sure what Esports is and would like more information:
