Practice Expedition: Parental drop-off from the start and finish locations.

Finish location: Framlingham Castle IP13 9BQ
Qualifying Expedition: drop-off at school. Travel by coach to and from location
Coach leaving school at 5.45am on Friday 3 July, returning at 7pm on Sunday 5 July 2026

PAYMENT
Bronze: Non-refundable deposit of £43.00 to King Edward School via ParentPay
Fee of £205.00 will be invoiced by BXM directly to parents.
Silver: Non-refundable deposit of £50.00 to King Edward School via Parent Pay
The remaining balance of £344.00 can be paid in instalments up to 13 March 2026
Funding
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award offers the Resilience Fund designed to offer young people support to access the award. Details of the Resilience Fund can be found here.
BXM Outdoors
We have a long-standing relationship with BXM Outdoors who have a team of qualified outdoors instructors who lead our expeditions.
Evidencing activity
While participating in their activity evidence is required to show participation. This can be done by keeping a diary of what you’ve been doing, taking photos and uploading them on the DofE app, and then the main way, is by keeping an activity log. The activity log is an essential way of demonstrating participation. These can be found here:
Submitting an assessor’s report
An assessor’s report is required for the volunteering, physical and skills components when a young person has completed their required length of activity. This can be done in a few different ways. See here:
