Ickworth College is led by Mr Elliott.
Begun for the eccentric 4th Earl of Bristol in 1795, the magnificent house at Ickworth Park was still unfinished when he died in 1803. It has gained much attention because of its distinctive rotunda, based on a style of architecture that was fashionable in Italy. The national Trust took over the estate in 1956 and part of the house is now a hotel. The church of St Mary’s is within the estate grounds.
