REACH

REACH is our individual programme for our most ambitious and able students. It is designed to give specific support to those wishing to apply to Oxford or Cambridge Universities, and also to highly competitive courses, such as Medicine, Veterinary Science and Law.
We identify students partly by their GCSE results, but also by their potential and aspiration to achieve highly and go on to study at the top universities and the top courses. One-to one conversations and guidance mean that we can help students be aspirational and realistic in their future choices, and help them get there!

In July, we offer a taster REACH conference for year 11 students to see if it is right for them.

We offer talks and visits in addition to targeted individual support with study, and help throughout the application process.
Recent events include a residential trip to Murray Edwards’ College, Cambridge, an application day at St Catherine’s College, Cambridge, and a Medicine information day at UEA. Current university students have come to give talks, and we aid and encourage applications to the university summer schools.
